• Residence Hall 150 Tremont Street

The Suffolk University Residence Hall occupies a prime location on Boston Common, the Nation’s oldest public park. The Granary Burial ground, Downtown Crossing, Government Center, the Massachusetts State House, and Boston’s Theatre District are all within a few blocks.

The two eleven-story buildings, originally called the Ditson and Chandler Buildings, hold a significant place in Boston’s history. The Oliver Ditson Company, which first occupied the buildings, became the largest music publishing company in America. The Chandler Company also operated an enormous dry goods store on the location, and was legendary for selling the first ready-made dress in Boston in the beginning of the Nineteenth Century.
