The Sawyer Library buys all textbooks and required readings for all undergraduate and graduate courses in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School.
They may be borrowed for a period of two hours of in-library use upon presentation of a valid, current Suffolk University ID. If a reserve item is not returned when it is due you will be billed $1.00 for every hour it is overdue.
Many newly acquired materials come prepackaged with supplemental resources such as workbooks, CD-ROMs, solution manuals, promotional material, and database keys. Sawyer Library will automatically place on Reserve any supplemental material that comes with a new book provided that it is relevant to the course and is usable by more than one student. This means that promotional material and single use keyed material will not be placed on Reserve. The Sawyer Library will not replace supplemental material that is lost or damaged from use.
Check the library catalog for materials on reserve for your courses.
Please note that faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Business School employ Blackboard’s Web-based course management system (accessible through the Campus Cruiser) to support electronic documents including course reserve materials.
