• Information Instruction Services

Students have a need for at least two types of information:

  • to complete a research paper assigned as part of the requirements for a course
  • to find information necessary to make out-of-classroom decisions, such as career opportunities or looking for reviews to help you determine which car will meet your needs

For both instances, finding and retrieving relevant and quality information will help you succeed. Understanding and taking advantage of an information process -- finding, retrieving, and evaluating information -- is a useful skill you will be able to use now in the classroom, later in your career, and throughout your life.

These modules will guide you through an information process. Although intended to support college course work, the process can also be useful for helping you find needed day-to-day information. The information process will work anywhere on the globe and at any time -- now, and in the future.

Review the modules, put the lessons into practice and, as a result, you will become a more efficient and effective information seeker. Here’s our promise: you will save time while also improving the quality of information found.
