Philosopher’s Index, produced by the Philosopher’s Information Center, is a current and comprehensive bibliographic database covering scholarly research in all major fields of philosophy. The Philosopher’s Index, considered the most thorough index of journal literature on the subject, features author-written abstracts covering scholarly research published in journals and books, including contributions to anthologies and book reviews. The Philosopher’s Index contains research published since 1940 including nearly 570 journals from 43 countries with content representing a variety of languages.
The library has one license for simultaneous use.
Polling the Nations is a compilation of more than 14,000 surveys conducted by more than 700 polling organizations in the United States and more than 80 other countries from 1986 to the present. Each of the nearly 350,000 records reports a question asked and the responses given. Also included in each record is the polling organization responsible for the work, the date the information was released, the sample size, and universe, i.e., the groups or areas included in the interview, such as parents with children in public schools, Great Britain, the United States, or California. All the surveys reported were conducted using scientifically selected random samples.

PsycBOOKS, from the American Psychological Association (APA), is a database of more than 13,000 chapters in PDF from over 700 books published by APA and other publishers. The database includes most scholarly titles published by APA from copyright years 1953 - current. It also includes 100 out-of-print books and an additional 70+ classic books of landmark historical impact in psychology.
PsychiatryOnline is a powerful web-based portal that features DSM-IV-TR — the most widely used psychiatric reference in the world — and The American Journal of Psychiatry as the cornerstones of a collection of psychiatric references from American Psychiatric Publishing, Inc. It provides access to classic resources such as DSM Library titles including DSM-IV-TR, DSM-IV-TR Handbook of Differential Diagnosis, and DSM-IV-TR Casebook and its Treatment Companion. The database also includes fulltext of several journals, including the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences as well as textbooks including The American Psychiatric Publishing Textbook of Psychiatry, and Gabbard’s Treatments of Psychiatric Disorders.

SAGE Journals Online is the delivery platform that provides online access to the full text of individual SAGE journals. The "Sage Premier" package that Sawyer Library subscribes to includes fulltext to all Sage journals back to 1999. Our subject "Sage Collections" sometimes go back even farther.

The Social Sciences Citation Index is a multidisciplinary index to the journal literature of the social sciences. It contains the references cited by the authors of the articles. You can use these references to do cited reference searching. A cited reference search enables you to find articles that cite a previously published work.
SocINDEX with Full Text contains informative abstracts for more than 620 "core" coverage journals dating back to 1895. It also contains full text for 242 "core" coverage journals, and 72 "priority" coverage journals. This database also includes full text for more than 500 books and monographs, and full text for more than 6,000 conference papers. Searchable cited references are also provided.
