Email

Every member of the University community is provided with a Suffolk email account.

  • All students receive a User ID and a temporary password upon registration. Late registrants may have to wait up to 48 hours to establish an email account.
  • Faculty and staff  receive a User ID and temporary password upon hiring.
  • Suffolk Alumni may also register for an email account.

Suffolk University uses WebMail, which allows access to accounts through most internet browsers from on- or off-campus.

Setting Up Your Account

Your User ID is assigned, and requires no action on your part.

To protect the integrity of the Suffolk University Email system, all temporary email passwords must be updated immediately to meet specific requirements.

Optional Features

Students and Faculty members also recieve an Email Alias--an alternative to your User ID that provides a convenient way for others to remember your email address. The alias is configured as firstname.lastname@suffolk.edu. So Jane Doe’s alias would be jane.doe@suffolk.edu.

Sometimes, it’s easier to have your Suffolk email forwarded to a personal email acount, such as Gmail, Hotmail, or Yahoo Mail. To have your mail forwarded to a personal account, log in to your Suffolk Email account.elect options, then forwarding, and enter your personal address.

You can also configure many email client applications to send and receive email using your Suffolk University email account:

  • Outlook
  • Outlook Express
  • Thunderbird
  • Entourage
  • Apple Mail
