Common Grounds Coffee House is Suffolk University’s hip and happening on-campus coffee house.  Held monthly in the Donahue Café, the familiar surroundings are transformed into a plush hang-out for the entire Suffolk community.

Couches and cabaret tables surround a stage where performers ranging from jazz musicians to stand up comics entertain the crowd. Grab a gourmet coffee or piece of cake from the bar and enjoy an informal evening with some of the best entertainment Suffolk has to offer.

Each month has a different theme and combines outside professional talent with our very own Suffolk students. This year’s themes have included karaoke, a cappella with The Ramifications, an open mike night, and a drag night, with performances by professional drag queens in honor of LGBT History Month.

Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with Common Grounds. We’re always looking for new acts, as well as people to staff the coffee bar and serve as liaisons to our professional performers.
