• About Us

The Counseling Center’s primary goal is to provide timely and comprehensive short-term counseling services to Suffolk University undergraduate and graduate students. Although restricted somewhat by the limitations of its resources, the Center also provides similar services to faculty, staff, administration and alumni of the University.

The Counseling Center is committed to using its full resources in helping to expand the positive and productive learning environment at Suffolk University for students, faculty, and administrators alike.

The Counseling Center is staffed by six full-time licensed psychologists, three full-time doctoral interns, and three part-time consulting psychiatrists. Accredited since 1975 by the International Association of Counseling Services (IACS) and with an American Psychological Association-approved (APA) doctoral internship program that was originally accredited in 1995, the Counseling Center continues to play a very active and important role in the life of the University. Its staff provides a wide spectrum of services to members of the University community, including individual and group counseling, outreach and consultation, training and supervision, teaching, and research.
