Suffolk University has partnered with Ruckus online music download service to provide the Suffolk student community with a free, legal way of obtaining music online. The Ruckus music library contains more than 3 million tracks from a wide variety of genres, made possible through the company’s licensing agreements with all of the major international record labels, as well as thousands of independent labels and artists. 

The music Ruckus provides comes directly from the record companies and is stored on secure servers.  When using Ruckus, you’re never downloading music from another user, or allowing users to download from you. This minimizes the risk of viruses and malware that peer to peer networks pose.
