Tools For Beating The Blues

Students who are struggling with feelings of sadness, negative thinking, loss of motivation and energy, difficulties concentrating and/or sleep difficulties, panic attacks, and anxiety will learn techniques for dealing with these difficulties.  Group members will support one another as they learn new ways of coping with their stresses.
Group Leader:  Lynda Field
Time:  Afternoon/evenings on Thursday depending on the best time available for group members.

Life Improvement

This group will focus on general day-to-day issues that limit or constrain group members’ abilities to fully enjoy and to derive satisfaction from their lives.  Subjects of discussion will be developed naturally by the interests of the members of the group, but may include addressing daily challenges, overcoming hurdles, dealing with conflict and roadblocks, working with others more effectively, and deepening the personal skills needed to become more satisfied with our lives.
Group Leader:  Paul Korn
Time:
Afternoon/evenings on Tuesdays depending on the best time available for group members.

Law Student Support Group

This group would provide a forum in which law students can discuss their experiences with the stresses of law school in a confidential and supportive setting.  Conversation will be based on the needs of group members.  Potential topics include:  the demands of Law School, the balance of academic pressure and life issues, the need to develop excellent time and personal management skills, and the potential isolation that can be felt in a competitive environment.
