The academic program at Suffolk University Madrid Campus centers on the liberal arts philosophy of education. Courses are offered in art, design, business, communication, computer science, English, history, science, engineering and Spanish language, literature and culture, and many other disciplines. Our professors are highly qualified. Classes are small, so students receive considerable personal attention.
Our academic program prepares students for their first two years of degree work in almost all of the majors in Suffolk’s College of Arts and Science, the Sawyer Business School, and the New England School of Art and Design in Boston. Freshman students typically complete two years in Madrid before transferring to Suffolk University in Boston or to other universities to complete their degrees.
Suffolk University in Boston offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 50 areas of specialization. Students who initiate their university studies in Madrid can also complete their degrees at any university in the US university system.
Any applicant to the Madrid campus is required to demonstrate proficiency in English. No minimum level of Spanish is required for admission, but completion of Spanish language courses is highly recommended for English-speaking applicants. Students from Spanish-speaking countries are expected to demonstrate their proficiency in English.
