Business Careers Begin at Suffolk Dakar

American business methods and corporations lead the world. An American business education is an extremely valuable career asset. Suffolk Dakar offers an opportunity for Senegalese and other African students to pursue the first two years of courses in a four-year bachelor’s degree program to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA). After two years, you may complete your program in the United States at Suffolk’s Sawyer School of Business in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nine Fields of Concentration

After completing core courses in business and general education during the freshman and sophomore years in Dakar, students will choose a major area of study in a business concentration for their study in Boston. Concentrations include:

  • Accounting
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Finance
  • Information Systems
  • Interdisciplinary Business Studies
  • Global Business
  • Management
  • Marketing
  • Public Administration

You may also select a minor concentration, or pursue a double major. If you are not ready to specify a field of concentration, you may also choose the “Open Major” option until your path becomes clear.

Internships are an important element of the university experience, adding practical experience to your resume, and demonstrating that you can apply your academic learning to real-world situations. Eligible candidates receive assistance in placement with area businesses for credit, as well as important professional experience and contact.
