Suffolk University Dakar freshmen and sophomores participated in and placed in the global competition for Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) in Paris, France. Through local, national, and global competitions, SIFE encourages college and university students to develop leadership, to play a constructive role in their local communities, and to promote innovative entrepreneurism.
Having won the National Championship in Senegal among 5 contesting schools on June 16, the Suffolk Dakar team prepared for the Paris competition. In the end the little Suffolk Team almost beat out the American team which was the winner of all 48 States representing more than 500 colleges and universities competing in the US National Competition. All the Suffolk Dakar team members remarked at how well they were praised, receiving high complements from the judges, officials and from other teams at the event.
The Suffolk/Dakar campus is extremely proud of its students, their high level of accomplishment during the whole year, and their performance at this prestigious competition. The Dakar Campus is bracing for another round of active SIFE competition for the next year.
