The Suffolk University Economics Ph.D. program offers four fields of specialization: International Economics, Public Choice, Public Finance and Econometrics. From these four areas, each student selects two fields of specialization. With the focus on the applications of economics grounded on solid theoretical foundations, the program capitalizes on the research expertise and policy experience of the Suffolk Economics faculty. Departmental research strengths include international trade and finance, national and international taxation policy, economic development, and industrial organization.
