March 2009:  Students, faculty and alumni present join work at scientific conference in Chicago

Physics majors Kyungsue Han, Jiwoon Kim, Francesca Little, and James Porter worked with faculty (Drs. Johnson and Perov) and alumni Jack Driscoll and Natalia Perova on a research project to develop a wireless system for measuring methane concentration. This work was done at the Sagan Research Lab of Suffolk University, the environmental engineering firm PID Analyzers, and the Septic Test facility at Otis Air Force Base. The students went with faculty to the Pittcon09 scientific conference in Chicago to present the work in a poster session for “New Developments in Analytical Instrumentation”.
