• Electrical & Computer Engineering

Today’s electrical engineering students are the innovators of tomorrow. Many of the devices we use every day—iPods, cell phones, light bulbs, televisions—would not exist without the engineers who first developed sophisticated knowledge of circuits and currents.

The Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Suffolk University prepares students to excel in this dynamic field. Electrical engineering is a core discipline with many possible areas of specialization. The Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree with a concentration in electrical engineering requires students to choose from one of the following areas of specialization:

  • Analog Circuits
  • Digital Systems
  • Communications
  • Computer Engineering

Our faculty members pride themselves on training students in the essentials of electrical engineering in the classroom and in the lab, giving you the foundation you’ll need to succeed in independent research, competitions, and your future career.
