Welcome to the Seminar for Freshmen website.  All incoming first-year students in the College of Arts and Sciences will take one of these seminars.  You will choose from forty seminar topics described on this website and register for one using our on-line form . Each four-credit seminar is taught by a full-time member of Suffolk’s faculty.  Your professor will become your first-year advisor – your link to the intellectual life of the college and your most valuable resource as you navigate through your first semester. Thank you for taking some time to browse through these descriptions and for registering for a seminar.  The on-line form will allow you to make your selection, which will be confirmed through e-mail.  I offer you my best wishes as you begin your first year of study here and I hope that the seminar is a rich and rewarding part of that year.
