On April 11, 2008, S.O.U.L.S. Community Service and Service Learning Center will be holding the eleventh annual Service Day and Celebration Dinner. Each April S.O.U.L.S. hosts a Service Day for all members of the Suffolk Community.  Last year over 200 participants volunteered for two-hour shifts at agencies throughout the local Boston area.

In an effort to make volunteer sign ups as easy as possible, S.O.U.L.S. offers individual and group sign-up options. If your club or organization, department, classmates, co-workers or friends would like to sign up as a group, this is your opportunity to dive into community service together!  Sign-ups will be available February 19, 2008 in a variety of locations including: the S.O.U.L.S. Community Service and Service Learning Center located in Donahue Room 209, The Hub in the Donahue Lobby, and the Student Activities Office in Donahue Room 529.

Following Service Day, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Select - Government Center at 5 Blossom Street (off Cambridge Street), S.O.U.L.S. will host the annual Service Day Celebration Dinner & Silent Auction. This dinner recognizes the whole year of service with a focus on our volunteers and our partnerships with community based organizations.  Come prepared to bid on a range of exciting items at the Service Dinner Silent Auction. The proceeds of the auction will go to this year’s Community Partner Award recipient, Neighborhood Action Inc., a hunger and homelessness nonprofit in Beacon Hill.
