Phone Calls

Local calling service is included in your room and board fee. The University contracts with Verizon for local phone service. All numbers within the 617 and 781 area codes can be accessed from your room. All rooms have one phone number activated with two phone jacks ringing for the same number. If you wish to have more numbers activated in your room, there is an additional fee. You may make this arrangement when you arrive. You need to provide the telephone. Your room phone number is given to other academic and administrative offices, as requested. In addition, it is the number that we use to contact you, so it is important that there is a phone in the room.

Long distance service:
Suffolk University and MobileSphere™ have joined forces to provide residential long distance and international calling. MobileSphere’s Student Telecom Solution enables residence hall students to place low-cost, prepaid domestic and international long distance calls from a residence hall, office, cell phone, and any off-campus phone throughout the continental United States.
