Check out the numbers! The Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education enjoyed numerous successes throughout the 2005-06 school year, with increased on and off campus recruiting efforts and improved employer relations. Following are a few important numbers from our 2005-06 annual report we’d like to share:
5 – # of job fairs held or co-sponsored by CSCE in 2005-06, including the Suffolk Job Fair, Communications Expo, Government Expo, Financial Services Expo and Meet the Firms Night. Off-campus involvement in external job fairs also increased, as CSCE participated in four other important employment events including Women for Hire and Idealist.org’s Non-Profit job fair.
114 – # of employers that participated in CSCE job fairs or expos.
299 – # of individual students placed in a co-op job last year.
461 – # of employers that participated in CSCE’s Recruiting Program, encompassing E-Recruiting, job fairs and expos, and on/off campus recruiting, a 7.9% increase from 2004-05.
1,764 – # of students that registered with E-Recruiting, CSCE’s online recruiting tool, an increase of 26% over the previous year.
2,573 – # of full-time positions posted on E-Recruiting.
3,231 – # of students attending a CSCE-related job fair or workshop in 2005-06.

Goals:
Launch Graduate Student Career Expo targeting employers in finance, biotechnology, and health care.
Continue growing successful partnership efforts with the College Career Centers of Boston, Northeast MBA Recruiting Consortium and the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Increase tangible “outcomes” with the Top 100 Employers.
