• Kristin S. Polito Bio

In 2003, Ms. Polito joined Suffolk University, where she is responsible for the recruitment, marketing, and operations of the Suffolk Executive MBA Program.  In addition, Ms. Polito led the charge to create the Executive MBA Great Leaders Scholarship Program, which offers tuition assistance to talented professionals, based on their prior leadership experience, academic merit, and current financial need.  Ms. Polito has also delivered global Executive MBA seminars to India, China, Western Europe, and Brazil and has met with such multinational corporations as Intel India, Roche Pharmaceuticals, and Coca-Cola China.

As Associate Director of the Institute for Executive Education, Ms. Polito works with Professor Michael Barretti, Director, to deliver a full range of executive level education and career development initiatives through strategy formulation, raising awareness of the Institute’s activities, and working with the Institute’s Advisory Board.  Ms. Polito holds an MBA with a concentration in International Business from the Sawyer Business School, as well as a B.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University. 

As a seasoned executive with 23 years’ experience in financial services and venture capital, Ms. Polito most recently served as Corporate Research Manager of Strategic Planning for Keyport Life Insurance Company, a former subsidiary of Liberty Financial Companies (LFC), and previously held various positions in Strategic Planning at Fidelity Investments, where she was responsible for strategy and competitive analysis of Fidelity’s FundsNetwork Exchange Program.  In addition, Ms. Polito oversaw a $60 million portfolio for Dominion Ventures, a venture capital enterprise, where her portfolio comprised such entrepreneurial companies as Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Human Genome, and PowerSoft Corporation (a start-up for PowerPoint software) representing the biotechnology and high technology industries.

In May, 2002, Ms. Polito lectured at Renmin University’s China Policy Institute in the People’s Republic of China on risk management methodologies according to the New Basel Capital Accord.  Ms. Polito is also an Adjunct Professor of Management at Suffolk University and continues to teach such courses as Venture Capital in the U.S. and Abroad and Business Organization and Leadership using the Harvard Business School case method.  She has also co-authored an academic paper with C. Richard Torrisi, Professor of Finance, on What is the Return on Investment of the Executive MBA which covers the quantitative and qualitative value corporations should consider when investing in an Executive MBA.  She will be presenting their findings at the Executive MBA Council’s international conference in Toronto, Canada this fall. 


Ms. Polito is married to Anthony P. Polito, Professor of Law, at Suffolk University Law School.
