Suffolk was my first choice for college and the only place that I applied to. The programs that Suffolk offers are exactly what I was looking for. I am currently a Sophomore Global Business and Entrepreneurship Double Major, and the courses that I am taking are specialized towards that degree.

Although the campus is the city of Boston, Suffolk offers great community. No matter where I go around campus I always bump into someone I know, whether it is a friend, a classmate or professor.

The classes I am currently taking are very involved and the professors not only remember your name, but they know what your goals are and the type of person you are. Classes are taught from the professor’s real life experience and not just from a text book.

In addition to being a Trustee Ambassador, I work in Residence Life at 10 West Street. Both jobs enable me to reach out to current and prospective students as well as expand my knowledge about the university and other students.

My favorite things about Suffolk University:

1.) The amazing Global Business program which I am currently enrolled in. I plan on getting my MBA in Global Business and I love the fact that it is required for me to study abroad and to learn a new language. I will be going to Spain in the Spring of 2009 for a semester and then plan on going to Egypt for Spring Break and then backpacking through Europe during the summer.

2.) The city campus offers diversity and something new to do everyday. My friends and I love to find new restaurants that are hidden gems. Also having the Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins as home teams always adds excitement.

3.) The dorms are amazing. I lived at 10 Somerset my freshmen year and had a great time and was able to meet lots of people on my floor. Currently I live at 10 West which is an apartment style dorm. We have a full kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave as well as a huge bathroom, living room and dining room.
