Hey, my name is Arian but I like to go by “Ari”. I am currently a junior here at Suffolk University and enrolled in the Sawyer Business School as an open major. I began my first two years at Suffolk living in the dorms and now reside on Hanover Street in the North End.

Growing up fifteen minutes outside of city in Woburn, MA had a major influence on my decision to attend Suffolk. I knew how much Boston had to offer and was aware of the numerous benefits and opportunities I could take advantage of by attending a university in the city. I also felt that Suffolk could directly connect me to these benefits and opportunities by fully preparing me with real life experiences through class, activities, and co-ops.

Since my first day of class as a freshman until now, I have been very enthusiastic and fully satisfied with my classes, professors, and the sense of a community at Suffolk. I really enjoy the small classroom sizes because it is very easy to communicate with professors in and out of class through email, telephone, or office hours. Suffolk’s sense of community within such a large city has allowed me to meet a lot of friends, build future business relationships, and become involved with society.

My advice to students searching for the right college to attend is to do what is best for you. Researching and visiting colleges of different sizes, locations, and concentrated studies is a must. You will gain valuable information by taking tours and gaining a sense of what each college and its campus has to offer. By the end of this long process, you will know which college is the best fit for you.

I’ll end off with the top three reasons why I chose to attend Suffolk and why I love this University so much. First off, I feel right at home thanks to the community and student body that Suffolk values most. Second, I truly enjoy being able to go to class and interact with fellow student and professors within each of my classes. Finally, I feel that Suffolk has and will continue to prepare me for the real world and become successful in my near future.
