What is the deadline date for applications?

  • June 15 - Fall Semester /Quarter
  • (March 15 for those interested in financial aid)
  • November 1 - Spring Semester /Quarter
  • April 1 - Summer Semester
  • December 1 - Ph.D. in Psychology
  • February 1 - Ph.D. in Economics

When can I expect to hear a decision?

For programs with rolling admission, decisions are usually made within 2-4 weeks of the completion of the application and receipt of all materials. Psychology and Economics PhD decisions are not made on a rolling basis. Please consult the program-specific information for these programs’ decision times.

How many people get accepted to each program?

There are no hard and fast rules on how many students Suffolk University accepts into its programs. Some programs are larger than others.

What’s the ratio of applicants accepted to applicants denied?

The admissions office has no ratios of that sort. Depending upon the economy, the job market, and other external factors, there may be more applicants in a given year than others. Some programs, such as the Masters of Science in Accounting and the PhD in Psychology, are highly competitive.
