The most important thing to know about Boston is its variety. Whether you are looking for music, government, sports, the arts, or the nightlife, Boston has got it all. What makes Suffolk unique is that you get to experience all that the city has to offer just by stepping out of your door. When you couple Suffolk’s location with the “student first” mentality of the faculty, you have the Suffolk experience.
When I was searching for the school that fit my needs, Suffolk became the clear choice after my first visit. I saw first hand the incredible access Suffolk students have to the city of Boston. Suffolk students have an unmatchable ability to seek internships and further their education outside of the classroom, which is an important aspect of college. My professors have always made themselves readily available to help with assignments or lend guidance regarding your goals. I believe that my professors’ abilities to know me on a first name basis, as well as taking the effort to assist me in anyway possible, has allowed me to get a complete educational experience. During my freshman year, I had a professor take an active role in helping me get a jumpstart with my career which led to an internship with the Boston Bruins, where I am still interning. I fully believe that attending Suffolk allowed me to make the most of this tremendous opportunity, and will continue to benefit me as I work towards becoming a sports agent.
As someone who has gone though the college search experience, my advice would simply be to choose the school that fits your needs and desires, and yours alone.
