• International Student Programs

The Office of International Student Programming offers many events and activities for international students throughout the academic year. Whether a student is interested in learning about other cultures, cheering for Suffolk’s sports teams, is feeling homesick, wants to meet other students from around the world, or has an idea for a new program, our office has something for him or her.

Beginning with International Student Orientation, which helps new students acclimate to the University and the City of Boston, the Office of International Student Programming presents programs including “Making connections at Suffolk: Your Home Away From Home” a lunchtime discussion series on topics including homesickness and dealing with American students and faculty; Consular Corps receptions bringing students together with the local consuls representing their countries in Boston; International movie nights, lectures and other signature events of the Center for International Education.

In addition, the Director of International Student Programming serves as an ombudsperson for international students by advising and assisting them on a range of issues.
